VISA PROCEDURES:-
ENTRY PROCEDURES FOR FOREIGN RESIDENTS IN THE
GCC TO THE SULTANTE:-
THIS FACILITY IS FOR FACILITATING ENTRY OF FOREIGNERS RESIDING IN ONE OF
THE GCC COUNTRIES WITHOUT PREVIOUSLY HAVING TO OBTAIN ENTRY VISA.
1. For UAE & GCC residents who are
holding an executive position, which should also show on their residence
visa, may obtain a permission valid for one Month directly from the
borders of Oman or the Airport it can also be obtained from this office.
2. If you have a close relative
visiting UAE under your personal sponsorship they can be taken along
with you and avail the same facility. Children's under Eighteen years
are not charged.
3. A form is available in the office
which should be filled up properly and Only the original passport and
the relevant fee is required and permission would be issued by next working
day.
4. Persons with non-executive
position have to refer their applications to this Office or obtain visas
through sponsors in oman.
5. Fees for this type of facility is
Dhs. 30 for all nationalities. (Dhs. 3 is charged extra for each
application
form).
6. The competent authority has the
right to refuse any visa application.
INFORMATION ON TOURIST VISA TO OMAN
1.If you are from Europe, Americas,
The Pacific Rim countries, Australia and are visiting UAE, you may apply
for a Tourist visa to Oman. This visa is valid for one month From date
of issue to enter Oman and entitled for three weeks stay.
2.An application form must be
collected from our office, which should be typed in English, AND must be
signed by the applicant. Original passport should be submitted along
with the application.

3.A
copy of the passport including the page where entry into UAE is shown,
is required along with one photograph and the relevant fee.
4.The processing of this type of
application takes approximately 3 working days.
5.The competent authority has the
right to refuse any visa application.
6.Fees for this facility is Dhs. 50
for all nationalities. ( Dhs. 2.50 is charged extra for the application
form ) .

JOINT FACILITY WITH DUBAI (TO VISIT OMAN)
THIS IS PART OF THE JOINT PROMOTION BETWEN THE SULTANATE AND
DUBAI TO EASE AND INCREASE THE MOVEMENT OF TOURIST.
1.Tourist groups (through hotel or
tour operators) visiting Dubai can avail this facility. Individuals
visiting Dubai as a tourist can also make use of this facility. (please
see point no 3 for nationality allowed).
2.Entry will be allowed according to
a manifest & a form which has to be stamped by tour operator and
immigration authorities at Hata borders or Dubai international airport.
3.Currently the following
nationalities can avail this facility:-
Scandinavian countries nationals.
European union nationals.
the Americas.
Japan, Singapore, Newzealand, S. Africa, Malaysia,, Brunei,
4.This facility allows tourist to
stay for three weeks in Oman, and can be extended for one more week.
5.Entry will be only through Hata
borders or Seeb international airport.
6. This facility is free of charges.
